Sri Lankan Consul General  in Sydney Lakshman  Hulugalle  passes away

Lakshman Hulugalle, Sri Lanka’s Consul-General in Sydney, Australia, has passed away early this morning (14)  in Sydney due to illness at the age of 66.

He assumed duties as the Sri Lanka Consul General for Sydney, New South Wales and Queensland in August 2020.

He was also the Director-General of the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS), the General of the NGO Secretariat, and the Deputy Chairman of the National Livestock Development Board (NLDB).

He was being treated at a hospital in Sydney for a medical condition, and his body is due to be brought to the island.
