Sri Lankan Group in NSW provide Welfare support to Sri Lankan international students in New South Wales

A Group of people in NSW initiated a project to support Sri Lankan International Students in NSW during the COVID-19 Outbreak.

The aim of the project is to provide immediate Support to Sri Lankan International students living in New South Wales whose livelihoods have been threatened by the outbreak of COVID-19.

On top of being far from home, international students face the same hardships as other students but they are not eligible for income support payments from the Governmnet and haven't been included in any coronavirus support package.

But many now face the prospect of struggling to pay their bills as social distancing measures shut down industries and trigger mass job losses to casual workforces.
