Sri Lankan Catholic Association NSW donating a Transport Ventilator

The first phase of SLNSWCA's COVID appeal is completed on 22/06/2021, donating a TRANSPORT VENTILATOR (Flight 60T - Manufactured in Israel and purchased from the Sri Lankan agent MediTechnology) for the Teaching Hospital Kuliyapitiya which is worth Rs. 2.2 MILLION (AUD 13,532).

His Lordship Most Rev. Dr Harold Anthony Perera, Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Kurunegala presented the Transport Ventilator to the Medical Director of Kuliyapitiya Hospital Dr Prabhath Werawatta on behalf of the SLNSWCA in the presence of Dr Sudharshini Fernandopulle, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control.

The Presentation Ceremony was attended by various media channels in Sri Lanka and the Transport Ventilator was then demonstrated at the sight by the representatives of MediTechnology.

SLNSWCA thank the many donors who contributed to this great cause generously and making it possible to complete this first phase in just over 3-weeks of commencing this campaign on 30/05/2021 and most importantly this Transport Ventilator will be a life saving equipment during the COVID pandemic as well as in a post-COVID environment.
