''Go Home Ranil'' - Protestors gather outside UNP Leader's Residence

A group of protestors gathered outside UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe's house in 5th Lane in Colombo this morning, with protestors calling on him to   'Go Home' and 'Stay Home'. The protestors gathered after allegations by TNA MP Shanakiyan Rasamanickam in Parliament this week saying Ranil was seen persuading opposition MPs to vote for the government backed Ranjith Siyambalapitya in the Deputy Speaker election.

After protestors swarmed to Ranil Wickremesinghe‘s private residence, the UNP premier and former prime minister has said that the protestors could meet him at Sirikotha, the UNP Head Quarters on Monday, May 9.

The suggestion from Ranil comes after he denied to meet the protestors who gathered at his residence today, Saturday, May 7.

Those who staged the demonstrations held placards saying ‘Your Glory Days are over‘.
