Sri Lanka records highest daily count with 2,659 COVID-19 cases on Sunday

Sri Lanka set a new record with the number of daily Covid-19 infections exceeding 2,500 for the first time since the epidemic began.
According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry a total of 2,672 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Sunday (May 9)
A total of 20,657 COVID-19 patients are currently receiving treatment at selected hospitals across the country.
A total of 15 COVID-related deaths were confirmed in Sri Lanka today (May 09), says Director-General of Health Services.
