Sri Lankan Airlines to repatriate students from Australia & UK

SriLankan Airlines would operate repatriation flights to bring Sri Lankan students from London, UK and Melbourne, Australia.

“SriLankan Airlines wish to inform that through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Sri Lanka, SriLankan Airlines would be operating the following repatriation flights for Sri Lankan nationals from London - UK and Melbourne – Australia” according to the statement issued by the airline.

According to the schedule published by the airline, there  will be three flights to London on 3rd,4th & 5th May 2020 & there will be a flight to Melbourne on 8th of May 2020.

 

SriLankan posted a travel notice on its official Facebook page on Thursday (30th April) that  ”Students holding Sri Lankan passports in the United Kingdom or Australia who wish to be repatriated to Sri Lanka, are kindly advised to register themselves with the Sri Lankan High Commission in their respective countries at the earliest,”

Since the 21st of April, more than 520 Sri Lankans with a majority of students have been repatriated from India, while over 100 Sri Lankan students were repatriated from Pakistan. From Nepal around 76 students have been repatriated and over 70 students from Bangladesh.
