BIA adds 20 new self-service kiosks to speed up check-in

Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has installed 20 new self-service check-in kiosks, along with a self-bag-drop facility, to reduce queues and improve passenger flow.
With passenger numbers rising, the new system allows travelers to complete check-in, select seats, and print boarding passes and bag tags on their own before dropping off luggage.
Authorities say the move will ease congestion, especially during peak hours.
Passengers are also now allowed to check in up to four hours before departure.
